Scharffen Berger Factory

Mar. 27, 2008, was our one and only trip to the Berkeley Scharffen Berger Chocolate plant. Hershey, who bought Scharffen Berger 3 years earlier, had plans afoot. SB's cofounder Robert Steinberg died in Sep 2008, and the Berkeley plant was closed Jan 2009. Although the brand still exists (produced elsewhere), I have not been able to bring myself to buy it since.
