1943 pill bottle
A prescription bottle issued by Broemmel's Pharmacy in the Fitzhugh Building at 384 Post St. in San Francisco. This address no longer exists, it has been subsumed by the Saks Fifth Avenue bldg at the corner of Post and Powell. Just the bear logo in upper left is amazing. The prescription, issued by Dr. Brown ("Doc!"), does not include the patient's name and has a date of 2-15-43 which is most likely the date of issuance. The 2-3/4" tall clear glass bottle with black metal screw-on lid is in remarkable condition for its age. Glass is clean and undamaged. Light scuffing on top of lid. Paper label firmly adhered to glass, slightly yellowed, lower left corner nicked, but no foxing or other damage. - $50.
