Vintage Louis Vuitton leather-bound flat-top trunk of 1920s-30s vintage, original owner J.E.B. of S.F! Purchased by my godfather in 1956 as a present to my mom. Exterior is all leather, no canvas or other fabric. Dimensions 44" wide, 23" high, 23" deep. Lid has strong hinges to keep it open, webbing, LV label and stamped serial number. No inner tray, just one large compartment. Beautiful latching hardware. I have two keys! Exterior patina from unknown sources and use of strap. Slight musty smell and minor foxing inside, but no moth-ball smell. Vuitton stamped on handles, lid webbing tape, lock, latches and rivets. Exterior leather intact except for small strap loop directly above lock, and never cleaned/restored. Strap not included. Exterior brass hardware all original and never cleaned. Interior cream fabric and trim original and intact. NO travel stickers. A true vintage treasure. With the addition of a glass or acrylic top, would also make a lovely table. - $9,500
